Why is it that we walked away from church as we knew it and began the journey of reinventing church?
God called us and we had a burning desire to reach Rochester. But we didn't know how. So we did what we knew: we did church. We knew it wasn’t working - that is, we were blessing some people, but what we were doing could never make a real difference in our city. But we knew nothing else. We could never quit because we had to be faithful to the Father and because we loved the people we were serving. So we kept going. But our world as we knew it changed in the summer of 2017. The Holy Spirit spoke to us that we needed to stop doing what we were doing because he wanted to lead us on a journey of reinventing church.
That was difficult. But since that time, we've been on an exciting journey of learning what the church could be, what Jesus always intended for it to be. So far we've discovered that church can be fun, that it can be powerful without being religious and that it can make a difference in people's lives and in our community. And we invite you to come join us on this journey, how together we can be a part of something great in Rochester.

The Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and contains every answer to man's problems. It is the ultimate measure of truth.
There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Man was created in the image of God for the purpose of fellowship with God. It was, and remains, God’s intent that we should know him intimately and enjoy his presence.
Adam’s sin created a barrier between God and man; it caused this fellowship to be broken – and broke God’s heart. God made provision, through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, to deal with this sin problem once for all.
Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, willingly died in our place, taking on our sin so that we could take on his righteousness and find a place of complete acceptance with God. He rose again the third day and ascended into heaven.
It is the will of God for all men to accept his invitation into fellowship and eternal life. We can have a personal relationship with God only by admitting we have sinned (broken God’s laws) and accepting God’s free gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Apart from faith in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, we cannot have a relationship with God.
Water Baptism and Communion are the sacred symbols of our relationship with God.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God to empower the believer for a life of service. It opens the door to the supernatural gifts of the Spirit (mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12), that are still active and available today.
God wants to heal us (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually) and transform our lives so that we can be whole in every way and live a blessed life. Jesus came to not only provide us a ticket to heaven, but made it possible for us to live abundantly here and now. Through faith in his Word and by obedience to its principles, we can experience a life beyond what we have imagined.
Every believer has been called to live a full life and participate in the ministry of the Lord Jesus. Each of us has received a special gifting to serve others. This gifting comes in a very wide variety and must be cultivated and developed. Each of us has been called by God and no calling that comes from God is less important than any other.
It is the responsibility of every believer to grow spiritually and be conformed to the likeness of Jesus. Spiritual growth is the product of the work of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life, most often through the disciplines of reading the Bible, fellowship with other believers, and obedience. Spiritual maturity does not bring us into a place where we are loved by God more, neither does it earn for us his blessing. Everything God offers he offers by grace, through faith. His abundant grace does, however, cause us to want to conduct every area of our lives in a manner pleasing to him.
Hell is a place of suffering, torment, and permanent separation from God designed for the devil and his demons. Those who remain deceived by the devil and do not accept Christ will follow him there. God's deepest desire is that no one would go there.
Jesus established the Church for one reason: to proclaim the love of God and the forgiveness of sins to all men. It is therefore the responsibility of every believer to be involved in reaching people with this good news. This happens primarily in two ways: by sharing our faith with others and by participating or supporting the outreach efforts of the local church and world missions.
Jesus will return one day and take all those who have accepted him to be with him for eternity. When a believer’s body ceases to function, his or her spirit goes immediately to be with the Lord.
The above Statement of Faith outlines the essentials. Besides these essential core beliefs, there is liberty for varying opinions on the non-essentials. Journey will be a people from a wide spectrum of backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, personalities, lifestyles and beliefs who grow together as one church, loving God and each other to make a difference in our community.
